Doing hair might seem simple, but my years of education and experience say otherwise. In fact, I’m an expert stylist because of my comprehension of geometry, chemistry, anatomy, epidemiology, and color theory. As of 2026, I am studying to become a board certified hair colorist. I am not scared if you need to cry, sweat or talk your way through your appointment, because you’re scared of someone cutting your hair or you’re facing challenges in life that are impossible to navigate without tears. I am an expert stylist because of the extent of my experience-doing hair in Hollywood and for people experiencing homelessness. I see it as my honor to do your hair.

For those of us blessed enough to take showers powered by indoor plumbing, this fact is true: we have minerals and metal in our hair, simply because pipes erode, and minerals exist in water. I use only filtered water in my salon. I also know that, unless you too have a filter on your shower, you have a rock wall of these deposits, prescription medicines, and elemental pollution surrounding each strand of hair, and it is impenetrable unless removed with professional products. Over time, the buildup will cause breakage and premature shedding, as hair follicles on the scalp become blocked by the rock wall. And when hair color processes on top of these metals, the chemical reaction is unpredictable, resulting in ugly color and fried strands. This is why STRONGLY RECOMMEND a detox before a hair color, and to all my clients 1-4 times a year to keep damaging metals, minerals and medicines at bay.
